Sanctification

Sanctification is not my idea of what I want God to do for me; sanctification is God’s idea of what He wants to do for me.

Sanctification means to be intensely focused on God’s point of view. It means to secure and to keep all the strength of our body, soul and spirit for God’s purpose alone.

Oswald Chambers, author of My Utmost for His Highest

“Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.” Ephesians 5:25-27 (NKJV)
